On Tuesday, November 16th, at 1:50pm and 1:51pm two new Lamonts came into the world.  My oldest daughter finally gave birth to the twins.  It was a long hard pregnancy, but everything turned out amazingly great!  They came into the world at 5.7lbs and 5.12lbs and both 19 inches long.  They were born 3 weeks early and the NICU folks were standing by, but the girls came out screaming and hollering so the specialists packed up.    Grandma and Grandpa can hardly contain themselves.

We've been exteremely busy with their 2 1/2 year old for the past two nights.  The little guy is very creative and inventive...man I'm beat...wouldn't have it any other way though!

As soon as I can snag some pics from somebody I'll post them.  I'm at work right now, however I think I'll take a nap on my keyboard.

Gle Mhath, Seanáthair ( pronounced "Gla Va Shin a hur") !!  Good job, Grandpa, twins will be 4 times the fun. They will conspire.

Jim, if I was you I would retire now so you can rest up.

Thanks everyone.  Yes, life-changing event all right.  And yes, retirement can't come soon enough.  The up-side of all this for me anyway, is that I get to spend so much time with our grandson.  Great times ahead!

Congratulations Jim, let me know how you work out helping out with twins.  I know I mentioned before that number 6 grandchild if far off…well…My Daughter informed us in September that she is expecting sometime in May.  She went in for her first ultrasound, and the Technician said “Oh, Twins.”  Well it can’t be the Michigan water cause she live in Kentucky, and I don’t want to take away from Jim and his family, so again congratulations Jim.

Right back at you Richard, congratulations in advance and thanks for the kind words.  All I can do is echo Mo's words and confirm that yes, it is twice the fun!  The brain must release dopamine when you hold a baby because it sure is calming to hold them.  Life is good! nod.gif
