How many of our forum members participated in celebrations of Robert Burn's birthday or Burn's Suppers? January 25, 2009 was the 250th anniversary of Robert Burn's birthday.
I went to a very nice celebration, held on Robert Burn's birthday, at the Burn's Cottage in Atlanta. A memorial wreath was presented in his honor. For those of you who are not familiar with the Burn's Cottage in Atlanta, it is an exact replica of Robert Burn's home in Alloway, Scotland and is on the national register of historic places.
We didn't get to attend the SAS Burn's Supper this year because of some of family medical issues. We really missed attending the event, the Burn's Supper has always been one of our favorite social events of the year.
Here is a photo of my wife and I headed out to the Burn's Supper in 2007, yes, I know that isn't a Lamont kilt.

a group of Xmarkers put on our own Burns night this year, about 40 attended. it was a fun night. It was a pot luck event and the food was plentiful and good.
the most important part of the sharing of uisege beatha, water of life or just plain old whisky
